I just appreciate to get away and go to a nice conference.
My family does this quite often.
My buddy and I take a few trips a year to just get away and relax while at the same time growing closer as a family through helpful sessions at the conferences my friend and I attend. Usually, once a year, my husband and I get to attend a marriage conference separate from the kids with us. This is one of my favorite times of the year. Vince and I have honestly found that these marriage conferences have been a great blessing to us, and they have helped to strengthen our marriage sizablely. Last October, Vince and I took a trip out West for one of our favorite marriage conferences ever. My buddy and I hadn’t been able to go to that particular conference for over five years, so my friend and I were really excited. The speakers at the conference really did an amazing job, and the material and tips that they gave us were so helpful. Unfortunately, they had trouble with the air conditioner in the building that they had rented, and the locale was so sizzling that it was almost unbearable. Of course, they did the best that they could to try and keep the locale cool enough, but it just didn’t work. I had to leave a couple sessions early just because I couldn’t rest the intense heat. I was seven months pregnant at the time, and the heat really carried some unpleasant odors that made me all the more uncomfortable. I was thankful that my friend and I were able to attend each session that my friend and I did, even though I was even more excited to get to the hotel each night and really have some nice air conditioner. I never realized how much not having air conditioner affects me.
