Isn’t it interesting how you get older and realize that other people’s brains were completely differently than yours? For most of my younger years, I assumed that everybody had the same cognitive and emotional patterns as I did.
It turns out, everybody has a completely unique way of seeing the world and reacting to it based on their own personal experiences.
It has taken me a long time to figure out several of the people in my life with this new insight. One of the most fascinating humans that I like to study is my extremely obsessive-compulsive neighbor. She’s always checking and rechecking everything around her house, as if she can’t get out of 1 neural network and into the next.I also know that she is extremely preoccupied with her heating, cooling, and air quality control system. This is obvious based on the number of times that an HVAC technician is sitting in her driveway. It seems like she can’t go a single week without calling the indoor air quality control repair shop down the road to have emergency diagnostics performed on her indoor air quality control devices. I know that she is concerned about her heating system, in particular. This couldn’t be more obvious based on the fact that the heating, cooling, and circulation device repair man was at her house three times last week. I know that she is preparing her furnace for the upcoming winter season and I’m sure she had some routine HVAC Services performed. However, I don’t know how differentially thorough any HVAC technician possibly could be. I guess she didn’t, either, based on the fact that she hired every HVAC company in town to give her furnace a once-over.
