For Vince and I, church is our life.
- My buddy and I are at church everytime there is a repair plus every special event.
My husband is really one of the deacons in the church that my friend and I are members of now, and he likes that he gets to help out more than ever before. Although it’s not a full-time position in the church, my friend and I do get paid enough for Vince to only have to work a part time job on the side. He spends the majority of his work time at the church just because he enjoys his job so much, and vince really helps with just about anything and everything. There are times when he preaches or teaches a class plus times when he is sort of the maintenance man and helps to repair problems around the building. Last Saturday night, my friend and I had a really exhausting blizzard come through our area, and it really did some major detriment to our little town. Although the church was not detrimentd by the storm, it did end up with another problem. The furnace wasn’t toiling. The first man the pastor called was my husband because Vince was previously an Heating as well as A/C specialist, and the pastor knew that Vince would know how to repair the furnace if it was indeed fixable, and unfortunately, the furnace needed to be upgraded, and nothing was open at the time because it was after midnight when this happened. The services were canceled for Wednesday day, and the entire day was spent purchasing and installing a current furnace. Although it was distraught that my friend and I had to cancel services, I am so glad that Vince was able to help and get a current furnace installed so that there would be no future issues with it.
