I grew up in a a really humid climate down South, and it was terrible… Don’t get me wrong, I enjoyed my childhood, and I have precious memories of being with my lovely family, but as far as climate goes, I wouldn’t want to go back to those “good old mornings.” I can remember just perspiring up a storm as I played outside as a child, and the sweat would never evaporate because it was so humid outside.
After I married my beautiful husband, my friend and I moved out West to were his family is, and I appreciate it!. The floors aren’t consistently slippery, and the sweat really drys off of my skin now. I just appreciate the dry heat that my friend and I get out here; it makes being outside a whole lot more enjoyable. Unfortunately while in the winter months, it gets too dry. Last winter, it got to the point where both my husband and I would wake up each day barely able to even talk because our throats were so dry from breathing in all that dry air throughout the night. Our lips were consistently chapped, and our skin was so dry that even using lotion twice a day wasn’t enough. My buddy and I decided my friend and I need to purchase a humidifier. My buddy and I ended up purchasing a couple of humidifiers, and my friend and I had no idea how much they would help. My buddy and I ran them 24/7, and my friend and I were amazing at how much relief it brought us. My buddy and I no longer had dry throats, lips, and skin. I know all the money my friend and I saved on lotion paid for the extra electricity my friend and I used by running the humidifiers all the time. My buddy and I appreciate residing out West, and the humidifiers have allowed us to enjoy wintertime just as much as every other season.
