Saving energy with more air filter changes

Saving energy with more air filter changes

Sometimes it’s worth making investments in life to benefit the long run.

Everybody talks about having 5 and 10 and 20 year old long plans, which I’ve never understood.

However, I do believe that it smart to have at least a one-year maintenance plan for everything in your home. If you are as big on saving energy as I am, then you understand what I’m saying. Instead of handing all of your money over to energy companies and repair services at the last minute, you can save a ton of cash by thinking ahead. If you keep your house and equipment well-maintained, you can expect that it will last a long time. The longer it lasts the less money you have to spend. It also helps if you can keep things running in Tip-Top shape, so that they are as energy efficient as possible. This can sound like a tall order, and I understand how it’s intimidating. But, truly, there are many simple ways to achieve these household planning goals and keep your bills low. For starters, think about your HVAC system. Are you using it as efficiently as possible? Maybe you don’t have it set on a temperature control to plan? Or perhaps you know that your house leaks a lot of the expensive air that you’re treating? Go ahead and start sealing up your house and small ways. Get an HVAC technician to come out and check out your heating and cooling system, once and for all. And if you don’t know where else to start, you can always stock up on a ton of air filters. If you just remember to change your own air filter every week or two, you might start to see your HVAC system efficiency increase. There’s always a lot more to plan for your household… but at least air filters are an easy place to get started.
