He said the placement of air vents, the difficulty establishing one set air temperature for the restaurant, and the polarizing nature of air conditioning always seemed to ruin someone’s experience
I’m one of those people who has an entrepreneurial spirit. For as long as I can remember, I’ve been starting up my own small businesses and earning cash on the side. I mean, literally as a child I was walking people’s dogs and cleaning their homes to earn some cash outside of my birthday allowances. That never change, and throughout high school and college I always maintained secondary and tertiary jobs. I love creating my own businesses and being my own boss. I also love to look for New Opportunities and to start dreaming of ways to fill those voids. Recently, a friend came to me with a brand new idea. He wanted to open an open-air restaurant in our neighborhood. He said there were plenty of trendy farm-to-table places, but none of them took they’re eco-friendly stance the extra mile. He wanted to have an HVAC-less restaurant without any reliance on HVAC systems or extraneous energy usage. My friend told me he had been visiting local restaurants for quite some time, and he noticed that the indoor HVAC system always decreased his satisfaction with the restaurant. He said the placement of air vents, the difficulty establishing one set air temperature for the restaurant, and the polarizing nature of air conditioning always seemed to ruin someone’s experience. Therefore, he wanted to cut out the whole expensive HVAC system and utilize mother nature for ventilation. I told him that sounded like a great idea… except in these parts, his business could only be comfortably open for about 2 weeks of the year.
