It is a drawer and door that you open with divots in the side rather than hardware
I recently have been looking for a dresser to go in my son’s bedroom, my baby boy is about 15 months aged and he still needs to be changed on a changing table, and the issue is that a typical dresser isn’t deep enough to get the task done… I honestly need countertop width. I also have a particular length that can hold all the diapers, wipes, soap, lotion, washcloths, and Desitin that my child needs on a biweekly basis; So I started looking around online and couldn’t find anything in my particular dimensions. I then realized that the best course of action would be to go the custom furniture route. I had the dimensions. I knew I needed a wide and long top and with several drawers on bottom. I knew I wanted shelving to hold all the extra diaper refills, wipes, and diapers. I knew how tall the shelving units had to be. It was all there in front of me. So I contacted a custom furniture builder and talked about a custom made changing dresser for my son. They made the dresser out of a gorgeous pine. It is a drawer and door that you open with divots in the side rather than hardware. That is nice since my child can’t open them and I don’t need to babyproof them. The best is having an extra deep and long top to change him on. It works perfectly for our needs, and yes, I won’t need to change him forever and I will have a wide dresser, but I am planning on having another baby soon.
