Feeling sick when you’re an Heating & A/C specialist is awful

I’m sure it goes without saying that being sick when you have to work is the absolute worst.

It honestly does not matter what kind of job you have, because there isn’ta single task that feels good when you are under the weather.

Whenever I am sick, the only thing that I want is to kneel down in my bed and wait for the world to feel better. I never want to stare at a PC, talk to shoppers on the cellphone, or worry about attending meetings all morning long. Luckily, I do not normally have to do any of those tasks at my job… But I can’t say that performing residential Heating & A/C repair jobs is fun when you’re feeling ill, either. In fact, some of my worst days as an air quality control specialist have been caused by an distraught stomach or a persistent respiratory problem complicating my repair appointment. The air quality control industry easily isn’ta line of work that allows you to take a break. It’s uncomfortable when you are in someone’s basement, desperately trying to figure out what has wrong with their heater and all you want to do is sleep. It’s angry when you arrive at a “simple diagnostic appointment” and wind up servicing their entire broken Heating & A/C system with a blaring migraine. It’s even worse when you’re repairing busted air duct in an attic and continually fighting the urge to vomit all over their insulation. I can’t tell you how many broken ventilation fans I’ve diagnosed from the toilet, but I can assure you that I’m highly committed to my job as an Heating & A/C specialist. I just wish I didn’t get sick so often.
