Sometimes you can be really disappointed with your parents when they decide to go off and take care of themselves. It’s rather selfish of us as children, but I think we are all programmed to expect to be the center of our mom and dad’s worlds. We never want to believe that someone has become more important in their life then we could be. This is why a lot of kids struggle when their parents begin dating other human beings again. I know that I have been extremely challenged with my dad’s decision to marry a new woman and move across the country. I feel like he is completely abandoning me and I’m not going to have any idea how to get by without him. Namely, I’m concerned over the consequences on my heating, cooling, and air quality control equipment. For as long as I can remember my dad has been my primary heating and cooling technician. He has been coming over and servicing my air handling devices for the past 15 years. I have never had to pay a professional certified heating, cooling, or air quality control worker in my entire life. Now, I am extremely worried that he is abandoning me as a child and a heating and cooling client. My dad has tried to hand me off to several reputable heating and cooling dealerships in town… But I simply don’t trust their air quality expertise like I did with my dad. Maybe they will be able to service my central heating and cooling system like professionals, but they will never do it for free like my dad would have.
