I’m certainly not the kind of person who likes to complain.
I am extremely grateful for everything that I have and I really don’t like to take anything for granted.
I know what it is like to live without the basics in order to feel comfortable, secure, and safe. I have been in some very dangerous situations and some substandard living situations. That’s why I’m very happy to be able to live in my Aunt’s basement right now. I can do my school work and professional duties without having to pay rent. The only problem being… There isn’t much Heating, Cooling, and Air Quality Control in my space. Considering how I’m living underground, it’s often pretty chilly. The natural air temperature is very low and it is rather damp. I would love to be able to moderate the indoor air temperature with a high-powered heating, cooling, and ventilation system so that I could feel a bit more comfortable. However, these Central indoor air quality control devices do not extend through the ductwork to this space. I have been trying to collect mini portable heating devices in order to moderate the indoor air temperature. I have also purchased a few basic dehumidification units to assist with the humidity. However, it feels like the basement is able to overpower any of the air temperature control devices. I’ll never tell my aunt about these failed heating purchases, though. I don’t want to complain about the indoor air temperature or air quality, because I’m just glad to be inside. Compared to the outdoor air, this feels wonderfully warm and cozy.
