When my child told me that she wanted to be a professional skilled worker, I admit that I wasn’t completely supportive.
It’s not that I wanted to tell my kid what she should do with her life, although I also know that she has some limitations which would make this particular line of labor pretty challenging for him.
I mean, the kid tends to be a bit spacey and disorganized, and he’s not truly fantastic at getting jobs done efficiently, because he’s constantly creating greater problems for himself than she needs to. This is one reason why I figured that working with heating, cooling, and air quality control device was particularly a risky thing to do. Within a few months, my child had “diagnosed” all of my indoor Heating plus Air Conditioning equipment… and then the real Heating plus Air Conditioning professionals in our town had come over to service everything she broke.
