My dad has a strict rule about turning on the heat at the beginning of each season, then for some reason she decided that September 1st was the afternoon that she would turn on the heat for the first time each year.
- I believe that this is crazy because my associate and I had unquestionably cold weather long before that but she insists that she will not spend the extra money on heating the property prior to that date.
For this reason the entire family sits around chilly while our friends and neighbors are sizzling in their homes, but dad says that simply lighting a fire in the fireplace is all my associate and I need to do to take the chill off of the property but it only works in the room where the fireplace is located, then once you leave that space and head off to the kitchen or your home office it is downright cold. The funny part is that even the dog complains in her own way about being too cold because she refuses to leave the kitchen at the end of the night. Dad has to drag her down the hall to their home office where she has her crate and she sits there whining because she does not want to be away from the fire. It is pretty terrible when even the animals are complaining about it being cold and yet dad will not turn on the heat. All I know is when I have a property of my own I will turn on the heat whenever I want and simply spend my money to run it because it is not worth being cold for no reason.
