Is there anything more aggravating than waiting? It seems that I am typically waiting for something or someone these afternoons! Just the other morning I wasted three hours waiting for a supplier that was supposed to give us a quote on a up-to-date roof only to get a call from him saying he would be out the next morning.
I try to be understanding however my patience level is diminishing swiftly these afternoons.
It seems like I am destined to live with other people’s timetables instead of my own. The latest thing that had me waiting is the paint in our up-to-date washroom. I needed to install the up-to-date molding and my pal and I needed the second layer of paint to be completely dry. I only had one morning off to complete the transformation and it seemed to be taking forever. I was pacing around the room when my wife advocated that I plug in the portable furnace and close the door. The added heat in the room would make the paint dry out quicker and after that my pal and I could complete the job by the end of the morning. This was the best idea I had ever heard. I headed to the garage and grabbed the heater. Within a short time the paint was dry enough to glue down the molding along the floor. At least this was one situation where my waiting was chop short. I wish I had that easy of a solution for all the other times I waste hours with less successful results. Maybe if they ever invent a portable time equipment that will happen.
