My hubby built a backyard shed totally on her own, but it was such a relief since storage was a massive concern in our household, then my friend and I had one bedroom that was converted into a storage area.
I ended up needing the space for laundry, then all my hubby’s tools had nowhere to go then, then she leveled the ground, made cement pillars, plus erected a shed.
She did the siding, flooring, plus the roof. I was so proud of him. She just didn’t link the roof fully to her shed walls. There was a little bit of finished work left. It was over a year before she decided that it needed to be done, and by that point, my hubby was done with all things roofing, but so she ended up hiring a roofing corporation to take care of it themselves. It took the guys under an hour plus cost hardly anything. They just did a few finishing touches to ensure the roof was sealed officially. My hubby was relieved not to go back up there plus tackle that project again. I was blissful that she was willing to hire something out. After doing all that work on her shed, she deserved a break. The roofers did a absolutely good job. My friend and I saved their number plus figured that someday they would be back… Residential roofs don’t last forever after all. It will be within ten years that a whole current roof will be needed on our house. I will call those guys up plus have them match the roof to the shed most likely.
