No Service Because of No Heat

Unfortunately, the furnace needed to be replaced, and nothing was open at the time because it was after midnight when this happened

For Vince and I, church is our life. We are at church everytime there is a service as well as every special event. My husband is actually one of the deacons in the church that we are members of now, and he loves that he gets to help out more than ever before. Although it’s not a full-time position in the church, we do get paid enough for Vince to only have to work a part time job on the side. He spends the majority of his work time at the church just because he enjoys his job so much. Vince really helps with just about anything and everything. There are times when he preaches or teaches a class as well as times when he is sort of the maintenance man and helps to fix problems around the building. Last Saturday evening, we had a really bad blizzard come through our area, and it actually did some major damage to our little town. Although the church was not damaged by the storm, it did end up with another problem. The furnace wasn’t working. The first person the pastor called was my husband because Vince was previously an HVAC technician, and the pastor knew that Vince would know how to fix the furnace if it was indeed fixable. Unfortunately, the furnace needed to be replaced, and nothing was open at the time because it was after midnight when this happened. The services were canceled for Sunday morning, and the entire day was spent purchasing and installing a new furnace. Although it was sad that we had to cancel services, I am so glad that Vince was able to help and get a new furnace installed so that there would be no future issues with it.
